I am thinking about my fic today, hoping to carve out some time to work with it. I haven't been making progress, mostly due to the fact that my free time is constantly being gobbled up by unexpected "must do now" tasks.

My summer has been much more disruptive than I thought it would be, though I have made some progress with some of my writing goals. I thought I would be able to do more, but it was not to be. I am hoping that "back to school" will release me from some things I had to do over the summer, but this new semester is looking like I'll have extra work on my plate, so I am nervous about how much my writing will suffer. I find it easier to make and stick to a schedule during the school year, so perhaps I'll still be able to manage things if I make sure writing gets on my schedule and doesn't just become that thing I do when I'm done doing everything else!
